Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese Recalled

Four separate types of Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese have been recalled due to potential Listeria contamination. Kenny’s is a well known brand in Kentucky, especially in Louisville, where it is sold at farmer’s markets, to restaurants and in stores. Well known restaurants, such as Lynn’s Paradise Cafe, have dishes featuring Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese. It is made in Kentucky. The four types being recalled are:

1. Kentucky Rose, bleu cheese;
2. Kentucky Bleu, bleu cheese;
3. Awe-Brie, brie cheese; and
4. Tomme de Nena, tomme cheese.

The dates include August 22, 2012 through September 25, 2012. These all involve wedges or wheels with the following Lot Numbers:

Listeria infection can cause serious illness and death. Symptoms inlclude fever, headaches, nausea, diarrhea. Listeria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
