Frankfort, Kentucky (Franklin County) Car Accident That Left Teenager Dead Now Results In Reckless Homicide Charges Due To Cell Phone Use

In an update to a previous post, a grand jury brought down an indictment against Kevin Butler of Harrodsburg charging him with reckless homicide. The charge stems from the allegation that Mr. Butler was speeding and distracted by cell phone use. He allegedly ran a red light and caused the crash.

There is no word whether the cell phone use involved a call or texting. Texting while driving is illegal in Kentucky. However, talking on a cell phone is not.
