John Deere Recalls Tractors

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with John Deere tractors. has issued a recall of around 15,000 of one of its popular tractor models. The issue is that the blade brake assemblies on the mower decks can break. This can cause the mower blades to spin longer than normal which poses a considerable risk of serious injury.

Many readers are familiar with the John Deere green and yellow colors, so it is important to note the model numbers in question are D100, D110, D120, and D130, all with a 42-inch Edge™ Cutting System mower deck.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn tractors and contact the company for a free hardware inspection and repair.
