Radcliff, Kentucky (Hardin County) Accident On I-65 Claims Life
20 year old April Crain of Upton, Kentucky sustained fatal injuries when the car she was driving collided with the rear of a semi tractor-trailer truck. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation, but the preliminary indication is that the truck had slowed due to construction work.
Our sympathies and condolences go out to the friends and family of Ms. Crain. There are serious questions here about how this tragic accident could happen that need to be answered. While at first blush it appears that Ms. Crain was at-fault, questions need to be raised about how traffic flow was being managed around the construction zone among others. We've seen plenty of instances of failure to follow proper safety protocol and procedures that, in turn, lead to just this sort of thing. Hopefully, Ms. Crain's family will get the answers they deserve.
