Wreck In Warren County Injures Three

On August 9, 2011 Kentucky State Police responded to a wreck in Warren County on KY 185.

According to officials, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Patti Manning (52) of Bowling Green, was traveling south on KY 185 approximately 2 miles from the Warren/Butler County line, when she crossed the centerline into the Northbound lane in the path of a 2010 Chevrolet HHR driven by William Tyler Browning (22) of Brownsville, KY.

Browning tried to to run off road into the northbound ditch line to avoid the collision, but Manning struck his vehicle in the side.

Manning and her passenger, JV Buchanon (58) of Bowling Green, were taken by EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where they were admitted for non-life threatening injuries. Browning was flown to Vanderbilt by Air Evac for serious injuries.

Manning was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Drugs 1st Offense.

If reports of this wreck occurred are correct, Manning will likely face civil claims for all of Mr. Browning's harms and losses resulting from this wreck. She will also be exposed to punitive damages, designed to punish her behavior and deter others from driving under the influence of drugs, should this case every reach trial.
