Child's Finger Severed In Fair Ride
A 3 year old's finger was cut off in a ride at the Bluegrass Fair this week. Police are reporting that the ride was operating normally but a mechanical portion took off part of the child's finger. The child was taken to UK Hospital for treatment.
A fair spokesperson said the ride was closed after the injury and the state has been notified. The ride is a "jungle gym" type activity called "Fun Zone" that children crawl through. The fair says the state had inspected the ride before it opened.
