Mazda And Hyundai Issue Recalls In China
In yet another round of car manufacturer recalls, automotive giants Mazda Motor and Hyundai Motor plan to recall a total of 104,154 cars in China.
Mazda is recalling 94,874 Mazda 3 sedans, including 80,541 models made at its three-party joint venture with Ford Motor and Chongqing Changan Automobile to fix faulty windshield wipers. These particular brands of car are very popular makes in China.
Hyundai, meanwhile, is recalling 9,280 Moinca sedans made at its China venture during August to October last year to fix potential engine problems.
These recalls come in a tough economy for car makers and relatively fresh off the heels of the Toyota/Lexus incidents detailed on this blog.
