Louisville, Kentucky Car Accident Results In One Death And Multiple Injured

Diane Wilson, 51 years old of Louisville, suffered fatal injuries when the Chrysler Sebring she was driving on northbound New Cut Road was struck by a Toyota Matrix coming from southbound Southern Parkway. Witnesses said that the Matrix ran a red light and was traveling at an excessive speed. The Matrix also struck a Dodge Stratus that was traveling closely to the Sebring. A passenger in Ms. Wilson's car, 3 passengers from the Matrix and the driver of the Stratus were all injured and needed medical treatment.
What a senseless tragedy. It just goes to show that you can be doing everything right and safe, but you cannot control what someone else does. Our thoughts are with Ms. Wilson's family and friends and we hope for speedy and full recoveries for the injured.
Let's hope a full and complete investigation takes place to make sure all questions are answered. Let's not rule out sudden unintended acceleration with respect to this Toyota vehicle. I have posted about this problem before (here and here) and there are numerous active lawsuits regarding this problem. Hopefully all of the responsible parties will have the requisite insurance coverage to compensate the injured and deceased.
