Girl's Dresses Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Matilda Jane LLC of Fort Wayne, Ind. has announced a voluntary recall of the company’s dresses for younger girls.

Consumers are warned to stop using the dresses immediately. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. According to the announcement the buttons on the dress can come off, posing a choking hazard. While there are no current reports of an actual injury there have been several “incidents” reported.

The dress in question is largely sold at In-home trunk shows and online from February 1 through February 25, 2011. Anyone possessing this dress should return it for repair or refund by contacting Matilda Jane Clothing.
