I-65 Accident Near Elizabethtown, Kentucky (Hardin County) Involving A Fed Ex Truck And SUV Results In Fatalities And Injuries

Details are still sketchy and still coming in, but according to the Kentucky State Police, a very serious accident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. this morning near mile marker 87 on I-65, which is in Hardin County. The wreck involved an SUV and a Fed Ex tractor-trailor.

We do know that three people in the SUV sustained fatal injuries and four others in the SUV had to be flown to University Hospital in Louisville. The driver of the Fed Ex truck was not injured.

It is still unclear how the accident happened and what caused it. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Our sympathies and condolences go out to the victims’ friends and families who will be receiving the most dreaded call anyone can imagine this morning.
