Harrison County, Indiana Accident Claim Life And Injures Others

The Harrison County (Indiana) Police Department has confirmed that a woman sustained fatal injuries when the 2002 Honda van she was driving on Interstate 64 (I-64) was involved in a single vehicle accident around 11:00 p.m. Police say the crash occurred when the van left the roadway and flipped end over end before coming to rest in a ditch.

Police have thus far only identified the driver as from Missouri. Three other women, all of whom were passengers in the van, one of which was ejected, sustained injuries requiring emergency treatment. No cause has been given yet.

We would like to express our condolences to the family of the deceased and send our best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for the injured. A full investigation is necessary to determine just what caused the accident. Typically, most people will jump to the conclusion of driver error. However, as we have stated before on this blog in a drum beat fashion, it is important to look at other possible causes, such as defects in the vehicle or its equipment and components.
