Lexington, Kentucky (Fayette County) Car And Truck Accident Offers Winter Season Driving Precaution Reminder

In one of those things that could only happen in the winter, a Lexington, Kentucky (Fayette County) man was injured when an estimated 1"x 6" chunk of ice dislodged from a PODS storage unit delivery truck, flew off and crashed into the windshield of the vehicle behind it. The passenger in the Toyota Sequoia sustained injuries that required a trip to the hospital. The driver was not injured.

This incident serves as a reminder to truck drivers and the companies they work for to inspect for ice and remove it from areas of the truck where something like this could happen. Let's hope the injured man makes a full and speedy recovery.
