Knott County Crash Kills One
In yet another tragedy, Arietta Martin, 58, of Knott County was killed in a head-on collision this morning along State Hwy 160 in the Litt Carr Community. Police are reporting that 28 year-old Kevin Stamper of Pinetop was traveling southbound in the northbound lane and hit Martin's car.
A complete accident reconstruction will have to be performed to determine why Stamper was in Martin's lane of travel. If it is determined that he was negligent by not keeping control of his vehicle, Martin's family will have a claim against him for her wrongful death.
