Kentucky Women And Children Injured and Killed In Car Accident
25 year-old Erika Jackson of Smithfield, Kentucky died from injuries she received when the car she was driving left a roadway near Columbus, Ohio and overturned. Eminence, Kentucky resident Patricia Payne was injured, as well as 2 year-old Kaelie Jackson and 3 year-old Kiersten Jackson.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, the Jackson car ran off a snow and ice covered road and into an embankment in a suburban neighborhood.
Our hearts go out to the friends and family of Ms. Jackson, and we hope for the speedy and full recovery of the injured. Although not confirmed, it appears the two children are Ms. Jackson's. It is horrible to think that these two young children will never really know their mother.
A full investigation needs to be conducted to determine if there were any factors other than driver error at play. Hopefully, the investigating police agency will do so, but if they do not, those involved in this accident need to hire an experience car and truck accident attorney to conduct one. An experienced attorney will know what to do to preserve existing evidence and uncover any additional evidence not readily apparent in order to determine exactly what happened.
