Tragic Thanksgiving Day Crash Kills Two Local Teens
Adrian Hightower, age 19, and his passenger, 17-year-old Madeline Thomas were driving South on 71 near the Crestwood exit in a Nissan Altima when a Chevy Trailblazer, driven by 33 year-old Robert Kane, lost control on Northbound 71, crossed the median, and crashed into them, according to the Oldham County police.
Hightower and Thomas had to be cut from their car by firefighters. Both were taken to University of Louisville Hospital where Hightower died from his injuries Friday morning. Thomas died from her injuries Friday afternoon, according to police.
Kane's 5-year-old daughter was also in the car and suffered injuries. The accident is under investigation.
