Grant County, Kentucky Cross-Over Accidents Kills One, Seriously Injures Another
The holidays, unfortunately, are always a dangerous time on our roadways. This week, there was another tragic holiday car accident, this one in Dry Ridge (Grant County), Kentucky.
The wreck happened in Dry Ridge on Dixie Highway, just north of Sherman Mt. Zion Road. According to police, 29 year old Derrick Huff of Corinth, Kentucky, was driving southbound on Dixie Highway in his 1994 Pontiac Sunbird when, for reasons unknown, he crossed the center line and struck 58 year old Jacqueline Embry of Crittenden, Kentucky in her 1998 GMC sport utility vehicle head-on.
According to reports, Ms. Embry was transported by EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, Kentucky. She is reported to be in stable condition. Mr. Huff was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police do not suspect that alcohol was a contributing factor in the collision.
