One Dead, Two Injured In Cumberland County Wreck

A single-car crash Saturday evening in Cumberland County claimed the life of one woman and left two others injured.

The wreck happened around 11:25 p.m. on Ky. 61, three miles south of Burkesville. Police think alcohol may have been a factor, though the wreck is still under investigation.

Bradley A. Richardson, 34, of Russell Springs, was driving northbound in a 2002 Buick when he lost control of the car, it left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, according to state police.

Vanessa Cantley, attorney and partner at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger, comments: "This is a tragedy for everyone involved. I wish people would learn that drinking and driving never mix. If Mr. Richardson was driving under the influence and that contributed to causing the wreck, or if he was otherwise negligent, he must be held accountable for his passengers' injuries and damages."
