Michigan Woman Dies in Kentucky Crash with Tractor Trailer

Kimberley Toton-Kozloski of Sterling Heights, Michigan died on Monday after a crash between a tractor-trailer and her van on Interstate 75 in Madison County, Kentucky.

Ms. Toton-Kozloski was ejected from the van that was struck from behind by a truck driven by Alan Black

Attorney Larry Jones said, "When a tractor trailer hits another vehicle, it is almost always tragic. The impact must have been incredible to cause this woman to be ejected from the vehicle. How fast was this trucker driving? What is his safety record? Should the trucking company even allowed this man on the road? These are all questions that need to be asked." Moreover, Jones said, "it is unclear why she was ejected from the vehicle. it sounds like there could be a problem with the seatbelt/restraint system."

In fatal wrecks such as this, it is imperative to secure the vehicles for a products defect expert witness and to get an accident reconstructionist to the scene before the evidence naturally disappears. One thing is for certain, the trucking company's insurance company had someone on the scene within an hour to gather evidence.
