Wrongful Death: Motorcycle & TARC Bus Collide Killing 21 Year Old Woman & Injuring 29 Year Old Man

Last Wednesday night, a motorcycle collided with a TARC Bus on the 9000 block of Dixie Highway. The motorcycle was traveling southbound and the bus was traveling northbound. Both vehicles had a green light. The TARC Bus attempted to turn left across traffic and the motorcycle struck the side of the bus. Numerous passengers of the bus were treated for minor injures. The 21 year old woman on the motorcycle was killed by the accident, and the 29 year old male on the motorcycle remains in critical condition at University Hospital.

Wrongful death and personal injury Attorney Brent T. Ackerson stated: “This is clearly a case for a personal injury claim and wrongful death claim by the motorcyclists and their families. The claims will be that the bus failed to yield the right of way, and is responsible for the injuries, medical bills, lost wages, and in the case of the death, the lost earning capacity over a lifetime for the 21 year old woman.”
