Louisville, Kentucky Motorcycle And TARC Bus Crash Results In Death And Serious Injury

21-year-old Diana Chism suffered fatal injuries when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a TARC bus on Dixie Highway. Ms. Chism was traveling southbound and the TARC bus northbound. The TARC bus made a left turn attempting to cross the southbound lanes and pulling into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the side of the bus.

A 29-year-old man was also on the motorcycle and was reportedly in critical condition. Additionally, several teenagers on the bus were taken for medical treatment. Our sympathies and condolences go out to the friends and family of the deceased as they deal with grieving process for this unparalleled loss, and we hope for quick and speedy recoveries for those injured.

Police are still investigating the accident to determine the cause. It does not appear that alcohol or drugs played a role. The preliminary indication is that both lanes of travel had green lights.
