Paul Pegram, a Louisville Metro Police officer, suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by an SUV in Spencer County, near his home. Officer Pegram was an avid cyclist and was struck when he dismounted his bicycle after stopping. He was off-duty at the time.
Police investigating the tragedy say that a Hyundai SUV driven by Daryl Fogel struck him from behind. An investigation by the Kentucky State Police into the cause remains open.
