Car Wreck Near Bardstown Ky May Have Involved Alcohol

According to police reports, alcohol may have been a factor in an accident that killed a New Haven man and injured three others Sunday night after a head-on collision near Bardstown.

Robert O’Bryan, 26, was pronounced dead when his GMC Sonoma crossed the center line and struck a westbound Dodge Stratus driven by 21-year-old Corie Newsome, of Bardstown.

Newsome was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville. Two passengers in the Stratus — Alton Brady, 19, and James Close Jr., 20, both of Bardstown — were taken to another hospital by Nelson County EMS.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones lawyer Larry Jones said, "I have represented numerous families who have lost a loved one due to the gross negligence of a drunk driver. In fact, I am trying a case in Green County, Kentucky in December involving a man named Russell Greenway, who was killed by a drunk driver. Russell left behind a wife and two kids. When are people ever going to learn that drinking and driving ruins people's lives?"
