Louisville Girl Dies in Golf Cart Accident
A 15 year old Louisville was killed in a tragic accident this week. Jordan Jackson, an incoming student at Louisville's Presentation Academy, died last Sunday afternoon after a golf cart she was riding on with three other Louisville teens rolled over while going down a hill on a road in Falls of Rough.
According to reports, Jordan Jackson and the driver were in the front seats and two other girls were on a rear bench that faced backward. The accident occurred when the driver hit the brakes and the cart started to slide sideways and rolled over, injuring three of the teens.
Jones & Ward PLC Larry Jones said, "This is a tragic accident that could have been prevented with adequate supervision. Golf carts are not toys, they are motor vehicles. Numerous people are injured or killed every year because of golf cart accidents. Unfortunately, many parents allow children to drive these golf carts without taking into account that children don't know how to properly operate motorized vehicles. For kids, the fun that comes with 'driving' can quickly transform into tragedy."
