Louisville Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle accident at Preston and Fern Valley has left a Louisville man dead after the car ran a redlight.

The victim was Tony Blunk. He died of multiple blunt force injuries from the accident. Blunk was driving a three-wheeled motorcycle south on Preston Highway about 3 p.m. when a car police believe went through a red light collided with him.

No charges have been filed as of mid-day Friday, Dwight Mitchell, police spokesman, said.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones attorney Larry Jones explains, "Whenever someone runs a redlight and causes injury, it is extremely important to secure all cell phone and data records. In this day and age, it is unbelievably common for people to check email, check Facebook, look at maps and even surf the internet while driving. As a result, people are dying."
