Little Girl Dies After Being Hit By Car at Birthday Party
In a tragic story, Kentucky States Troopers have announced that Lilla Brizendine, age 4, was pronounced dead at the Russell County Hospital after she and another girl, Gabrielle York, age 8, were struck by a car after a birthday party.
Trooper Billy Gregory said in a statement that a Russell Springs woman struck the two children as they played in a yard at about 6:38 p.m. CST. Gregory says the woman was picking up her son after a party and hit the kids while turning her vehicle.
While I understand that the woman didn't intend to kill this little girl and hurt the other, she was clearly negligent unless the girls ran right out in front of her car without leaving her any time to stop.
