Firm Partner, Brent T. Ackerson, Participating In Establishing Metro Louisville’s 2011 Budget
Brent T. Ackerson, a partner in Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones PLC and an elected member of the Louisville Metro Council, has spent the last month actively working to examine, review, and establish a revised budget for the City of Louisville for the fiscal year 2011. Ackerson has attended budget hearings, held meeting with constituents and interest groups, and been working with other Council Members to revise the Mayor’s proposed budget to cover specific needs of the City.
Ackerson stated: “This year is no different than the last few years. This City’s economic situation is tight, and we need to prioritize spending. I am adamantly opposed to any tax increases and will look to postpone certain projects to fund projects of immediate necessity.”
The City finalized budget is schedule to be voted upon and approved by the Metro Council next Thursday evening.
