BP Oil Spill Attorney: Government Says 840,000 to 1.68 Million Gallons of Oil Released Each Day
Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones attorney Larry Jones, who is co-lead counsel on a class action against BP regarding the oil spill, just learned of a new government report that estimates that 840,000 to 1.6 million of gallons of oil have been leaking EVERY day --before the riser was cut. Now, after BP cut the riser, substantially more oil is being spilled into the Gulf.
Jones says, "This is proof positive that BP lied about the amount of oil spilling into the Gulf from the very beginning. The cover-up is usually worse than the crime. In this case, the crime itself is so egregious that it is unconscionable that BP would try to cover this up. I look forward to holding them accountable in Court."
