Truck Driver Charged in Death of Two in Pike County

A South Carolina truck driver hit and killed two tree-trimmers in Pike County, Kentucky last week.

The driver, 44 year old Arthur Davis, has been charged in the deaths. Davis had a suspended operator’s license and no CDL when his truck had mechanical problems and hit 32 year old Kevin Jones and 20 year old Paul Williams, who were setting up signs by route 1499 in Mouthcard.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger attorney says, "There is no reason why someone should be driving one of these trucks without a CDL. The trucking company should be held accountable for putting a driver on the road without a license."
