Harlan County Man Killed While Walking
A 38 year old man is dead after being hit by a car in Harlan County, Kentucky.
The tragic crash happened late Saturday night on Highway 840, in the Rio Vista community, of Harlan County.
Apparently, the driver of the car didn't see Harris. State police say he was thrown at least 20 feet after being struck. He was transported to the hospital where he died.
Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger attorney said, "While the driver will not face criminal charges he may be held liable civilly for failing to maintain an appropriate lookout for pedestrians on the road."
