Six People Were Killed On KY Roads Last Week

Six people died on Kentucky roadways last week in motor vehicle accidents. In three of those crashes, the victims were not wearing seatbelts. One of the accidents involved a double fatality, which occurred in McCracken County. The other fatal accidents occurred in Bell County, Daviess County, Jefferson County, and Pendleton County.

While not wearing one’s seatbelt can decrease the amount the deceased’s family may recovery financially from the accident, it does not bar the Estate from being compensated from the family member’s loss of life.

Through January31, 2010, a total of 55 people have been killed in motor vehicle accidents. This number is actually 2 less than this same time frame in 2009.
