More Snow Predicted For Tonight: Monday Drivers Beware
The National Weather Service is predicting that the Greater Louisville, KY area will get between 3 to 5 inches of snow late Sunday through Monday. It has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 7 p.m. tonight through 7 p.m. tomorrow. The snow is expected to begin falling lightly throughout the day Sunday, with most of the accumulation being between midnight and the early morning hours of Monday. Snow may continue to accumulate through Tuesday. The temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until Thursday.
State and City road crews have already begun to take preventative measures by spraying a brine solution. Once accumulation begins the salting and plowing will start. The roads should be hazardous for the next few days, which will likely result in numerous auto accidents.
