Elizabethtown, KY Car Accident on Wooldridge Ferry Road Injures Three
There was a multiple injury car accident in Elizabethtown, Kentucky this morning that injured three people. It happened on Wooldrige Ferry Road.
Kentucky State Police responded to Wooldridge Ferry Road on a report of an injury accident. Unit 1, a 1993 Plymouth Van, being operated by Tammy Cecil, 45 years old, from Elizabethtown, KY, was traveling southbound on Wooldridge Ferry Rd. Unit 2, a 2006 Kia van, being operated by Melanie Carwile, 39, from Elizabethtown, KY was traveling northbound on Wooldridge Ferry Road. Both sides of the roadway edge were snow covered so that the roadway was one and a half lanes wide. Ms. Cecil's windshield was also obstructed due to frost. Ms. Cecil's and Ms. Carwile's vehicle meet and strike each other. Ms. Cecil was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by EMS. The front passenger of Ms. Cecil's vehicle, a 13 year old juvenile, was also not belted and was transported to HMH with serious but non life threatening injuries. Ms. Carwile was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to HMH with minor injuries.
