Toyota Recall Affects 2.3 Million Vehicles

Toyota Motors issued a recall Thursday, which will affect 2.3 million of its automobiles. The company issued the recall after it was found that accelerator pads could stick, causing the vehicles to unintentionally speed up.

Toyota's recall covers auto and truck models 2005 - 2010, including the 2005-10 Avalon, 2008-10 Sequoia, 2007-10 Camry and Tundra, 2009-10 RAV$, Corolla and Matrix, and 2010 Highlander. It also covers the 2009-10 Pontiac Vibe.

The recall is the result of a crash in December 2009 in which an Avalon sped off the road into a pond and four people died.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a wreck involving one of the recalled vehicles, and you think a faulty accelerator pad may have caused your wreck, please feel free to call Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones PLC directly at (866) 587-0002 or e-mail us by clicking here: E-mail BCCJ.
