Mirapex Gambling Lawsuit Lawyer: Mirapex Continues To Take A Toll
As I've discussed before in previous blog posts, I am representing many people from all across the country against the makers of Mirapex in a mult-district litigation (MDL) action in Minnesota. These people come from all walks of life. One thing that has struck me as I talk with my clients about their experiences while taking Mirapex and engaging in very destructive compulsive behavior is the number of people who considered suicide, and some that even attempted it. Who knows how many out there actually succumbed and succeeded? One thing is for sure, they cannot tell their story to anyone.
I wonder how many people are out there who have never discovered that the reason they went from a perfectly stable state of mind to a compulsive gambler and wrecked their financial well-being was possibly due to a drug they were taking. I wonder how many people have never heard of the connection between compulsive behavior and Mirapex, and that that may explain the reasons for their behavior. I wonder how many families are out there that watched a loved one engage in destructive, compulsive behavior with seemingly no explanation, spiral out of control and ultimately end their life after wrecking it.
I've listened to the haunting stories of those who have discovered the reason for their behavior, and think that they have been provided with some level relief now that they know. And it is sad to think that the answer may be out there for others, but they may never discover it.
