Lexington Drunk Driver Injures Two
Police are reporting that Marie White, age 73, crossed the center line on North Broadway in Lexington tonight and hit a truck head on. White was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the crash.
A car driving behind the truck saw the accident and attempted to brake and avoid a collision, but slid into the truck. Two people in the truck were taken by EMS to University of Kentucky (U.K.) Hospital. White was also taken to U.K. Hospital for a broken ankle. Police have indicated that when White is released from the hospital she will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
