Kentucky Sexual Abuse Lawyer: Bullitt Central Teacher Arrested for Abuse of Student
Bahe Cook Cantley & Jone sexual abuse attorney Larry Jones, who is a member of the National Crime Victims Bar Association, has learned that a former Bullitt Central High School “teacher of the year” (Timothy Lands) was arrested and put in jail after being accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old student.
According to news reports, Timothy Lands was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony. Lands is accused of having an “inappropriate relationship” with a female student Jan. 13. The relationship allegedly included oral sex and masturbation, took place on school grounds.
Sexual abuse attorney Larry Jones says, "When a teacher engages in a sexual relationship with a student, it is a violation of the most sacred of trusts. This child will likely struggle with the after effects of the abuse for the rest of her life. This teacher of the year should never teach again --and he should spend a long time in jail."
