Shelby County Kentucky Woman Dies In Crash
Ashley Ford, 20, of Shelbyville died in a two car crash on Monday night after a pickup pulling out of a gas station hit her.
Three passengers in Ms. Ford's vehicle were also injured. The wreck occurred about 9:30 p.m. on U.S. 60.
Ms. Ford died of multiple injuries. And according to news accounts, Ms. Ford was not wearing a seat belt.
Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones wrongful death attorney Larry Jones says, "I am always skeptical of news accounts that say that someone wasn't wearing their seat belt. In this day and age, hardly anyone drives around without a seat belt. Perhaps the seat belt failed upon impact? The surest way to tell if a seat belt was being worn shortly before the crash is to obtain the vehicle's on-board data recorder."
