Roman Shade Recall: Inner Cord Is Strangulation Risk

On Tuesday, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, along with Louis Hornick & Company, announced a voluntary recall of Newport Energy Solution Roman Shades.

The Commission noted that a child can become strangled if its head is placed between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.

This recall includes all sizes and colors of Newport Energy Solution Roman Shades sold by Ross Stores (including Bed, Bath & Beyond in Kentucky) with exposed inner cords on the back.
