Man Accused Of Fatal Hit-And-Run To Stand Trial Monday

Trial begins Monday for Kenielle Finch, the man accused in a hit-and-run that killed two Louisville girls, 4-year-old Riley Lawrence and her friend, 5-year-old Claudia Wadlington.

WHAS-11 News is reporting: "Prosecutors were fighting to have Finch's criminal history allowed as evidence in the trial. They say he fled from police 8 times before the crash that killed Riley and Claudia.

The girls' families want to know why Finch was even on the street that day and not in jail since there was a bench warrant for his arrest.

“The public needs to be protected from dangerous criminals and the community has the right to demand accountability from the people who are charged with supervising these parolees like Mr. Finch.” says Sarah Lawerence, mother of victim.

The families of the girls are suing Finch's parole officer.

Finch is charged with 2 counts of murder, fleeing and evading police, and leaving the scene of an accident."
