Rockcastle County Kentucky Car Wreck Injures Ohio Man and Passengers
A Friday night crash on I-75 in Rockcastle County has left the driver in critical condition at University of Kentucky Hospital.
Ryan Atkins was flown to UK after his silver 2003 GMC Envoy SUV hit the median barrier cable and overturned near mile marker 61. His two passengers also were flown to UK.
Jonathan Doerger, 21, was listed in fair condition; Mike Jarvis, 21, was listed in serious condition. Two other passengers, Kyle Quinn, 19, and Dan Rehard, 21, were taken to Rockcastle County Hospital.
Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones auto accident attorney Larry Jones says, "Plain and simple: cable barriers save lives. While it is unfortunate that these young men were injured, I am pleased that it wasn't worse. Cable barriers likely prevented this vehicle from crossing the road and hitting another vehicle --which would have resulted in several deaths."
