Prempro Attorney Kentucky: Pfizer Must Pay $28 Million in Punitive Damages in Prempro Case

In an update to an earlier post, Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones Prempro lawyer Larry Jones reports that the Philadelphia jury ordered Pfizer on Monday to pay $28 million in punitive damages to one of the victims of its hormone replacement drug.

The punitive damages verdict came after a $6.3 million award the jury ordered Pfizer to pay in compensatory damages on Friday after deciding that Prempro contributed to her cancer, and that Pfizer failed to adequately warn about the risks associated with the medicines.

In another case, Pfizer was punished with a $75 million punitive damages verdict on top of a nearly $4 million compensatory award.
