Pfizer Ordered to Pay $75 Million in Punitive Damages for Dangerous Prempro Drug
According to various sources, a Pennsylvania jury ordered Pfizer to pay a punitive damage award of $75 million to a lady who developed cancer after being prescribed Prempro, a menopause drug. While the exact amount of the punitive award has been sealed by the court, it has been reported that the $75 million is in addition to the $3.7 million in compensatory damages.
