Hopkins County, KY Auto Accident: Yet Another DUI Accident Causes Injuries

There is yet another drunk driver accident to report, this one near Madisonville, Kentucky, in Earlington (Hopkins County). This one caused a van to flip over and injured two people, Nancy Stevens and Susan Mullins, who were riding in the van.

According to Kentucky State Police, here's what happened: Andrew Allen was traveling South on East Farren Street in Earlington, Kentucky when he crossed over to the left shoulder of the roadway and hit the curb. Mr. Allen ran over a street sign and continued traveling South to the intersection of South Lee Trover Todd Highway. Nancy Stevens was traveling South on Lee Trover Todd Highway when Mr. Allen ran the stop sign and struck Ms. Stevens in the driver's side causing her van to overturn and come to final rest on the passenger's side in the middle of the highway.

Ms. Stevens and her passenger were both trapped inside the vehicle. After being freed, Ms. Stevens and her passenger, Susan Mullins, were transported to the Regional Medical Center by Ambulance. Mr. Allen was arrested and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs 1st offense (Aggravating Circumstances), 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree. and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
