Kentucky DUI Crash Causes Death: Driver Charged With Murder

Lanny Sizemore, of Manchester, Kentucky was charged with murder after a head-on crash that killed a Pineville woman on Sunday night. He also charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, police said.

Ellen Fletcher, 35, was pronounced dead at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Sizemore was northbound in a 2000 Ford Excursion on U.S. 421 about 8 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Fletcher's car.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones wrongful death attorney Larry Jones says, "This is the right call to charge this driver with murder. When I represent families who have lost a loved one to a drunk driver, I always push for a murder charge on behalf of the family. When someone gets into a car under the influence, they make a conscious decision to put lives in danger. They should pay when the take someone's life away."
