Hopkins County Fire Department Responds To Five Motor Vehicle Accidents in One Week

The Hopkins Co., Kentucky Fire Department has responded to an inordinate amount of vehicle collisions in recent weeks; responding to five (5) motor vehicle crashed as well as a roof-top fall that caused injury to two (2). This is a unexpected amount of injury causing accidents for a fire department that normally would not respond to this many injury calls in a month.

The most serious vehicle crash took place on November 10th. On arrival to the scene the fire crew found two individuals (one in each car) needing medical assistance; EMS was called and both parties were taken to the hospital. On November 11th the crew responded to a call by workers who had been renovating a residence; two of the workers had fallen from approximately 12-14 feet. One man had to be transported to the hospital for further treatment, while the other worker was treated and released at the scene.
