Ford Explorer Rollover: Louisville KY Man Dies On Gene Snyder Expressway

It seems like there is a death or serious injury in a Ford Explorer rollover accident every other week here in Kentucky. And, in fact, there was one last week in Louisville.

It has been shown in many jury trials in this country over the past five or six years that the Ford Explorer (the models prior to adoption of electronic stability control) had the deadliest of all combinations: They roll much easier than other vehicles, and they have poor roof strength.

Ford Explorer's rollover dangers are so widely documented that a settlement was recently reached in a class action by owners of the SUV claiming that the resale value of the Explorer was significantly less because consumers aware of their deadly nature don't want them.
