Toddler Dies After Being Struck By Car in Louisville
The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky) is reporting an incredibly sad story. A 2-year-old boy who was struck by a car over the weekend while crossing Rangeland Road in Louisville died Monday morning. Other reports indicate that the boy's father was struck also.
The boy, whose name is not being released by Louisville Metro Police, was transported to Kosair Children’s Hospital after the 9:45 p.m. accident, according to a police spokesman. The boy had just gotten off a TARC bus and initial reports are that he "bolted" into traffic.
According to Louisville Metro Police, the driver left the scene before police arrived, but called 911. The driver made contact with police again later. No charges have been filed, but the accident is still under investigation.
