Deadly Pikeville, Kentucky Car Wreck
There was a three car crash in Pikeville (Pike County) Kentucky over the weekend that resulted in the death of a woman.
Kentucky State Police in Pikeville responded to a three car accident on U.S. Hwy 119 in the community of Belfry, Kentucky. According to KSP's report, a 2007 Dodge Caliber, driven by 21 year-old Jonna Hatfield of Hardy, KY, was traveling northbound on U.S. Hwy 119 through Belfry, KY, when she lost control of her vehicle and went into the southbound lanes where she was struck in the driver's side door by a 1991 Ford F-250, driven by Bruce Tilley.
The Dodge Caliber was knocked back into the northbound lanes of U.S. Hwy 119. The F-250 went off the shoulder of the southbound side and struck a third vehicle--a 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup truck, driven by James Rose. Mr. Rose was traveling northbound on the southbound shoulder of the road at the time of the collision.
Ms. Hatfield was transported by ambulance to South Williamson ARH where she was pronounced dead. Mr. Tilley was also transported to South Williamson ARH and was treated and released. Mr. Rose was uninjured.
