Perry County, Kentucky Boy Killed in Bike Accident
A four year old Perry County boy died this week in a bike accident. Jaxson Connor Hughes died after being hit by a truck. Jaxson Connor Hughes died Wednesday night.
Police say he was riding his bicycle at the end of his driveway when he hit the side of a pickup truck heading out of Laurel Drive.
Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones lawyer Larry Jones says, "This is a tragic case. As the father of a four-year-old, I can't imagine the pain that this family must be going through. While the news reports seem to indicate that the boy may have been at fault, Kentucky law says otherwise. Under Kentucky law, a small child cannot be deemed to be negligent in a situation like this."
