A Jeep driving in the wrong direction on I-65 in Louisville, Kentucky hit a tractor-trailor truck head on in the early morning hours of August 6, 2009. One witness commented that the sound of the collision resembled a bomb going off. Despite the severe impact, but both drivers survived, although the wreck appears to have resulted in serious injury to at least one of the drivers.
Louisville, Kentucky car and trucking accident attorney Will Nefzger of Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones, who is experienced in handling these types of cases, said that the drivers are fortunate. Typically, these types of accidents (wrong way, crossover, center-line) result in serious injuries or death and can have tragic consequences for the people involved and their families. Hopefully, both drivers make full recoveries and are back to their normal lives in a short amount of time.
